This weekend sees the first of two petrolhead extravaganzas organised by Chris Evans for the benfit of Children in need kick off at Laverstoke Park Farm with CarFest South. Nissan has released details of the all electric Nissan LEAF EV
Update 18/3/2010: Nissan has announced that the Nissan LEAF will be built at its plant in Sunderland UK, starting 2013. The Nissan LEAF is trumpeted as Nissan’s Zero Emissions Electric Car. The LEAF will go on sale in Japan, America and Europe in late 2010, and as we already knoew, Nissan is working on battery production and charging infrastructure in the UK, Portugal and other countries.
The Southern Guild of Motoring Writers has declared the Jaguar XF the car of the decade at the SGMW’s 10th anniversary event. Designed by Ian Callum, under Ford’s ownership, the XF demonstrated that Jaguar had finally realised that building cars that were a pastiche of past glories was no longer enough to guarantee sales. Under the skin, much of the Jaguar XF carried over from its predecessor – the Jaguar S Type – but it was in the execution that the XF demonstrated it was capable of giving Jaguar new life.
